Honey Of A Tree Clark

Hi All,

Well the holidays have come and gone and I am already missing all of my Christmas decorations.  We were so excited for Graham's first Thanksgiving and Christmas, and for Mattie to finally experience the holidays with a sibling.

We had a great Thanksgiving.  We celebrated with my family on Thanksgiving and Adam's family on the Saturday after.  We have so much to be thankful for; this year I'm trying to take more time to thank God for all his blessings.

The month of December was pretty busy for us.  Mattie had activities going on at school and trying to shop with a baby in tow... not very productive.  Amazon was really a life saver!!  The first week in December was our annual Corrigan/Waldroup  visit to the Christmas tree farm.  We always start with a trip to Waffle House and then we go get our trees.  My cousin Ashley and I have always been close, and I love that our little families have this tradition.  Mattie and Cora always have so much fun together, and Graham enjoyed his first Christmas tree adventure.

Decorating the tree...pants-less of course.
The battle for the entire month of December.  He fought hard, but
 in the end I won!
Mattie always enjoys decorating her small tree for her room.
We also enjoyed a magical snow day!!!!  As a native Georgian it was the most snow I have ever seen in Georgia.  The only other time I have seen a large amount of snow here was during the blizzard of '93 ;) .  It was such an awesome snow, big huge fluffy flakes great for building a snowman.  I mean there was actually enough snow to build a snowman that didn't have ice and mud in with it :)  Mattie had a blast!  Graham was intrigued but spend most of his time watching from the window.  Adam got off work early and spent hours outside playing with Mattie.  Those two had the best time.

Mattie had early release from school.  She just wanted to get home and
go outside and play.

Mattie's super creepy faceless snowman.

Mattie had so much fun the last week of school.  They had Grinch Day, Polar Express Day and they decorated gingerbread houses.  She told me she was sad that she wasn't going to get to go to school for a couple of weeks.  Me too sweet girl, me too!! ;)
Class Holiday Party

This guy decided to start crawling at Mattie's class party.  Way to go bud!

Who Hair for Grinch Day.
I can't believe it stayed up all day!!
Cookie decorating time!
We had our annual visit to see Santa.  I was unsure of how Graham would do, but he did great.  He just sat in Santa's lap and soaked it all in.  Mattie however is the one that looks nervous.  Hahahaha.

We had an amazing Christmas with our wonderful family.  It was so much fun seeing Graham react to lights, presents, Santa, paper and all things Christmas.  Adam and I loved watching Mattie and Graham together.  Mattie was so sweet and attentive to Graham.  She was also happy to help him open any presents if he needed help.  Christmas Eve is spent with Adam's family.  We started with Christmas Eve service at church.

Because we weren't at our location, I didn't feel comfortable leaving
Graham with people he wasn't use to, so we watch the service from the lobby.

Sweet Cousins

This kid didn't want to nap.  He finally crashed
 out in Aunt Kelly's arms.

Time for Christmas Cracker and jokes in accents

Mattie's accent was on point!

We enjoyed a fun Christmas morning with the kids.  Our first Christmas as the parents of two.  Mattie and Graham both were up at like 6:30 a.m. despite getting in bed late.  Adam and I rallied, but man I required a lot of coffee!

Our sweet gift Mattie made for us at school.  These are my favorite gifts.
After a fun Christmas morning we went to my Grandmothers for Christmas dinner and presents.  Mattie was again surrounded by cousins and loving every minute of it! It was such a great day!

Ready to go to Great Gran's
I see a trend.  Graham always finds someone to hold him so he can nap.
Also can y'all just check out Cora's photobomb!!

He loves his Great Gran
Cousins on Cousins on Cousins
Checking out Uncle Cheese's beard.  He was mesmerized.

We had an amazing holiday.  We have so much to be grateful for this year.  I hope you all enjoyed time with your loved ones.

XOXO
