Headed For The Frisco Bay...

The time had finally arrived.  With our one way tickets in hand it was time to board that flight and start our new adventure.  It was so hard to believe that the day had finally come.  It seemed that we had been talking about it for months, and it was all moving so slowly and then, BOOM it was here.

Adam's dad and my sister Heather took us to the airport on Friday.  Saying goodbye is always so hard!  For me, saying goodbye to my sister was without a doubt one of the hardest things ever.  We have always been close, but we have gotten even closer working together every day for the last four years.  Heather is also super attached to Mattie so I knew that it would be hard for her to say goodbye to her "best friend".

Adam's dad was determined to get him and Heather gate passes so that they could walk us all the way to our gate.  I guess no one says "No" to Mike Corrigan.  After a couple conversations with different Delta employees they both had gate passes.  Who really knows what was said in those conversations between the head of the Corrigan family and the Delta employees all I know is that gate passes were handed over fairly easily!

We had about 30 minutes at the gate before we boarded our plane.  Then it was time to get on the plane and time for Mattie to go on her first flight!

Time to board the plane.

A little Mattie and Mommy selfie as we were walking onto the plane.

Ok! We are ready to take off!!!! San Fran here we come!!!

Mattie was so awesome on her first flight!  She watched movies, colored (thanks to Ashley, JoJo and Cora, and CC for the coloring books and crayons) and she even took a nap.  I was beyond stressed worrying about how she would do with her first flight being such a long one.  She was of course a champ!

Thanks CC for the tootsie rolls they did the trick during take off and landing.

Flying over California!!!
Welcome to California Corrigan family!  We arrived in California mid-day.  Our first night we were going to be spending in a hotel because the movers were not coming with our stuff until the next day.  We decided to check into the hotel, grab a quick bite to eat and try to run over and see the condo.  We knew we were on a time limit.  Mattie would not last long with the time change.  We were fast approaching her bedtime (Atlanta time), and with a long day of travel behind us I knew she would crash early.  To my surprise she was awesome!  We were able to get dinner (like an actual sit-down decent meal of food) and stop by and see the condo.  Sneak peek of the condo below :)

Mattie at dinner.  "Look I'm a pirate!"

Arrrrr

So this is where we are gonna live!
All I keep thinking is "Wow, we are really here.  We are really doing this."  Our new adventure has officially begun!!!

XOXO
