A Brand New Adventure

I am super excited! My first official blog post!  A couple of months ago Adam and I made a huge life decision to pack up and move to San Francisco.  This life changing move is the beginning of an awesome adventure for our family.  So with all these changes happening I thought it would be fun to start a blog to chronicle our lives and all of the fun things that happen along the way.

How it all started...

A couple of months ago Adam was asked by Clorox if he would consider a temporary relocation to San Francisco.  After a somewhat short conversation between the two of us (while I was silently freaking out in my head) we decided to go for it.  Adam was surprised that I would agree to leave my job, my friends, and most importantly my family for the next two/three years to go live 3,000 miles away.  Truth be told I was kind of surprised too!!!  Really though, at the end of the day it was an easy decision for us for a several reasons

1.  It is temporary, you can do anything temporarily.

2.  We are going to get to experience a new place, with new people and new adventures.

3.  Mattie...What an awesome opportunity to give her the experience of living some where else, with fun weekend trips to new places on the other side of the United States.

4. It's San Francisco! Who says no to that!?!?!

5.  Lastly, but most importantly this is such a wonderful accomplishment for Adam and his career.  I could never express how proud I am of him.  He has worked so hard to get here...how could we say no?!?

It's getting real...

This week it has really started to sink in that we are leaving!  We officially put our house up for rent!  Yikes!!!

This was just step one of many steps we will be making as we finalize our move.  Step two... Adam and I leave next week for San Fran to find a place to live.  Adventures, adventures, adventures in the Corrigan's future.
