Six Years and Counting!

Hi All,

Today's post is a little different than my usual posts.  It is about Corrigan Adventures, but it's about how the Corrigan Adventures started!  Adam and I have been together for ten years, six of which we have been married with today being our sixth wedding anniversary.  I am so incredibly lucky that we found each other.  For those of you who don't know here is a short little snippet of our history.

Adam and I both attended Reinhardt College, but did not meet until our senior year.  He sat behind me in an economics class but we didn't talk and I didn't even know he was in the class.  Then we ended up in Business Law together with some other mutual friends.  He sat directly behind me.  All of us decided to go eat one night after class, and that was the first time we really ever hung out  We ended up going to watch a friend of ours play hockey like a week later.  We had the best time together. Honestly, I didn't even watch the hockey game at all!  I just remember he made me laugh so much, like laugh until my sides hurt. I came home after that and was talking to my aunt and telling her about "this guy" and that there was just "something about him".  I still remember her telling me you better go out with him and see if there is something there or you will regret it.  So when Adam ask me out to dinner shortly after I totally said yes and the rest is history!!!

Ten years later I know what that "something" was that reeled me in, outside of his good looks :) It is his generous heart, his awesome personality, his ability to make me laugh, and just that he is an overall genuinely good person.  He is a wonderful husband and an incredible father.  He is my rock ( my rock of Gibraltar as he would say).  He puts up with a lot living in a house with two females, and is always the voice of reason when Mattie and I are being brats.

I love you babe!  The best 10 years of my life, here's to many many many more!

Will The Real Point Reyes Please Stand Up

Hi All,

Labor Day weekend we decided to take a day trip to Point Reyes, in West Marin.  It is about an hour and a half from us and we had read so many awesome things about it.  So we set out wanting to check out the  PR Lighthouse, the town, and maybe do a little hiking.  We put Point Reyes into the GPS and off we went.  We arrive in the super cute town and Adam looks at me and says "find out where the Point Reyes Lighthouse is and we will go see that first."  I'm all on board, I put it in my phone and it says it is 40 minutes away!  Wait, what?!?!  So the lighthouse is no where near the town.  Ok, well that was one of the main things we came to see so off we went to see this lighthouse!  All the things we wanted to see were spread out  (hence the title of this blog entry).  We never did find the specific hiking trail we were looking for, maybe we will find it next time.

The star by the one is Point Reyes and where we started we ended up at the star on the left and then stopped at Drakes Bay on our way back home.
So here are some pictures from our adventures in Point Reyes.  We really did have a great day even though we did a bunch of driving! :)

We had a nice little walk from where we parked to the lighthouse.

We even saw a deer!
There was whale watching but unfortunately we didn't see any :(

Visitors Center.  Pretty cool old building.
Mattie and the Great White Shark Skeleton!  Yikes!
We had to go down about a million stairs.

Cool old desk.

And chair

We remembered Mattie's camera so she took pictures like crazy!

That blue spot is me and Mattie!
About 2 seconds after I took this picture she fell and scraped her  knee.  She cried so long I thought we were going to have to amputate.
After the Point Reyes Lighthouse we found a beach close by and had a nice lunch.

Here lately Mattie loves to pick up feathers.  I gag every time.

After the beach we drove to Drakes Bay.  It was so pretty. DB is famous for their oysters(gross no thanks) There was a little trail that we hiked to a cliff overlook.  We also hiked to see the elephant seals on a beach in the cove.

Drakes Bay

Still taking pictures.

This was the beach where the seals were, but they are hard to see :(
We really enjoyed our day in Point Reyes.  I think we totally need to go back.  I feel like there were things we missed.  Great family day seeing California!

XOXO
