Sweet Summer Fun

Hi Everyone!!!  It has been a while since I last posted!  This is going to be a catch up post of what we have been up to the last couple of weeks.

We have really been enjoying our Friday night concerts at the park in Pleasanton.  Such a fun way to spend the evening.  They have different bands and everyone takes chairs and blankets and just chills out on the grass.  We have been meeting another couple that we are friends with, and their kids there every Friday night.  It has been such fun for Mattie, she gets to run around with her friends and we get to relax and listen to music.

We celebrated Father's Day by going to Pleasanton Ridge and doing a little hiking.  We had a blast and really enjoyed a nice day just the three of us.  With great weather it turned out to be the perfect way to celebrate how lucky Mattie is to have such an awesome dad!!!

No worries…Mattie has a map and she knows the way!

Best daddy in the world!!!

Water break

Mattie wanted to take a picture.  I think she did a great job.

This weekend we went into the city to see the Sutro Baths.  In the late 1800's an indoor swimming facility was built near these cliffs on the Pacific Ocean.  In the 1900's it was destroyed by a fire and now all that is left is ruins in this inlet among these beautiful cliffs.  We had so much fun hiking and exploring.  It was kind of a cold and windy day so even though it is the end of June don't be shocked when you see us in sweatshirts!!!

In the summer it tends to be foggy in the bay until later in the afternoon.

Everything inland is pretty dead with the drought so it was nice to see some flowers on our walk.

We explored this awesome beach.   We also made another "Corrigan Rock Stack" and left it on the beach.  Mattie and I also had fun finding pretty rocks.

This was what was at the end of the tunnel that you see Mattie and Adam walking through in the picture above.
We found this awesome little deli Kawika's Ocean Beach Deli where we stopped and had lunch before heading home.  We met the owners who were so sweet.  We ate lunch a sat for a little while and watched some of a soccer game.  Adam was in heaven. He had an awesome deli sandwich, a beer and was able to watch soccer!  I am just thankful we were able to get out of the house, since it is World Cup time we (and when I say we I mean Adam) have been very focused on soccer for the last several weeks:)  World Cup gets intense in our house!

So now you are all caught up on what the Corrigans have been doing the last couple of weeks.  Fun times were had by all :)

XOXO
