Visitors…
We had our first visitors!!! Yay!!!!! Adam and Lauren came in town for a couple of days and we were so lucky to get to spend some time with them. We had a blast. They spent their first night with us and then the next day we took them to their hotel and spent the day downtown with them. It was so nice to have them here! It was like having a little piece of home here in California.
We had such a fun day downtown. We went to the Wharf and Ghirardelli Square.

| What's that?!?! Oh that's just my mom backpack! I have resorted to using a backpack to carry all of our crap when we are out. LAME!!! |
 |
| Passed out while we were walking around. |
 |
| I never really drink hot chocolate, but I got one since it was a little chilly out. It was the best hot chocolate I have ever had!!! |
Adam and Lauren left on Wednesday after both Adams and Lauren went to the Pearl Jam concert in Oakland on Tuesday night. We had so much fun with them while they were here. I love having visitors (hint hint). We officially have our guest room cleaned out and ready for guests! Who's next???
Turkeys…
Thanksgiving has come and gone and it was such a different experience for us this year. It was super hard not to do our traditional dinners with our families. I was pretty homesick! We were however invited to do Thanksgiving with some friends that we have made out here. Bo and Nikki (Adam works with Bo) and their three beautiful girls were so sweet to have us over for dinner. Neither of us have family here so getting together with them made us not miss home as much.

After a yummy dinner, while the girls were running around playing Nikki and I had the awesome idea to go shopping. I am totally against shopping on Thanksgiving. I think those people should be spending time with their families, but after hearing about a particular deal on an iPad mini that we wanted to get for Mattie it just had to be done. Nikki and I braved the crowds paid a lady to get in line in front of her, ran across the store, stood in another line and….totally scored the iPads we set out to get. I was totally on a buyers high. It was so ridiculous!!!
A Christmas Tree…
This weekend we thought we would start getting into the Christmas spirit. I really love to cook, so I decided to make us another big "Thanksgiving" meal and we would spend the day eating and putting up Christmas decorations. I spent most of the morning in the kitchen (which is my happy place) and we got out the Christmas bins and started putting up some decor. I love the way our house always feels during Christmas. It always just seems a little warmer and the smell of the live tree is my favorite!

| The tree place had pony rides so Mattie had her first pony ride. |
 |
| She wanted to ride these swings but I am pretty sure she was terrified! |
 |
| The Christmas Tree place had these weird trees that were skinny and sparse. Maybe it's a California thing?!? |
 |
| This is the one!! |

| Decorating her tree for her room. |

| Ta-daaaaaaaa |
So the Corrigans are all ready for the holidays! We are counting down the days until we are home in Georgia celebrating with our family and friends! We miss you all and can't wait to see you!!!
XOXO
