In The Blink Of An Eye

Hi All,

It has been a fun/crazy couple of weeks.  House stuff has kinda been on the back burner, as we have just had other things going on.  

Mattie joined swim team in May and she has practice everyday.  She loves it and it is so fun to watch her in the water.  Meets start after school is out and I am so excited/nervous for her first meet.

Mattie also had Kindergarten Registration and her Kindergarten Tour!!!! I cannot even believe that my baby is going to be going to elementary school in the fall!!  I blinked and here we are!  This momma is going to be a mess come the fall.  She is such a smart and independent little girl, I know she is going to do great.  She is beyond excited, and I love that she is looking forward to starting big girl school.

Kindergarten Tour!

When I look at Mattie this is the Mattie I feel like I am sending off
to Kindergarten!!  My little baby is getting so big!!

We recently spent some time with my grandmother/Mattie's Great Gran.   Mattie had so much fun digging me up some hostas for our front yard and filling the bird feeders.  We also got to spend an afternoon over at the farm with Ashley, Jody and Cora Mae.  Mattie had the best time.  She loves it when she gets to spend time with Cora Mae.  They were so sweet together, and Ashley and I both thought that they reminded us of ourselves together at that age.

It was such a beautiful day last Saturday we thought it would be a good time for a hike. We jumped in the car and headed to Amicalola Falls.  Mattie had the best time.  Adam and I both noticed that it was the first hike where she made it through the whole hike without needing to be carried on Adam's shoulders.  I know Adam was thrilled with this progress.  We had so much fun and it was still early so we decided to hike it again!!!  I know, we are crazy!  Mattie did awesome and it was a blast!

It has really been a fun couple of weeks around here.  Mattie has her last week of preschool next week, and then it is nothing but summer fun!!  This momma can't wait!
