Long Time No Blog

Hi All,

With our California adventures having come to a close, I have been trying to decide what or if I should do anything with the blog.  I have really enjoyed it and I love being able to go back and read all of our fun stuff.  With that said, I am just not ready to give it up.  I'm not sure it will be as interesting as it was when we were traveling all over Northern California, but it will be a picture of where we are currently in our crazy lives. 

Just a little catch up.  We are back in Georgia!!!  We moved back home in October and for the first time in two years we celebrated Thanksgiving with our families.  It was a pretty awesome feeling.  Living 2,500 miles away from all of your family really makes you realize how important family is, and that you should appreciate the time that you get to spend together.  We also enrolled Mattie in preschool.  She is attending the preschool I use to work at, and I LOVE her teachers.  I couldn't imagine being back and sending her to any other school.

After an awesome Thanksgiving we were ready for Christmas, my most favorite time of the year.  It was great to be back in our own house for the holidays, and I had the best time ever decorating it.  It was amazing to wake up in OUR house Christmas morning, and to see Mattie come down the stairs anticipating what Santa had brought.  Pretty much the best Christmas ever!

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas day with our families.  Thanks to Kelly for providing the props and selfie stick on Christmas Eve.  It made for a radical night!

New Year's Eve was spent with our awesome friends Eddy and Trisha.  It was pretty low key, and it was totally rad!  Perfect way to ring in the New Year!

Now that the New Year has come, it is time to start new things.  Of course we always have Mattie's Birthday to look forward to in January, and now we are beginning a new adventure remodeling some things in our house.  Right after we moved back we had our house repainted.  It brought her back to life, and I really wish we had done it sooner!  Pictures to come soon.  We have also decided to hardwood the whole main floor of our house.  I am so excited!  After some research and talking to my dad, we have decided to do it ourselves.  My dad graciously agreed to help us and basically teach us how to do it.  It is crazy, but I am super pumped about this project.  This is basically my first step in becoming Joanna Gains or Nicole Curtis ;)  Stay tuned for updates and pics!
