Disneyland Part II

Hi All,

Picking up right where we left off.  After a nice drive down the coast we made it to Disneyland.  I have to say that place is pretty magical!  They put so much work and effort into every little detail.  Everyone in the park totally looks happy to work there and the park itself it so clean.  We had such a great time.  The best part…seeing Mattie's face.  No matter what we were doing I kept catching myself looking to see Mattie's reaction to different things.  As a parent it is pretty much the best thing ever seeing your kid having the time of her life!

After the ride Mattie said that it was fun but she didn't want to ride it again.  We pretty much lost her trust :)  For the rest of the day when we would get on a ride she would ask if it was going to make a big splash.  hahahaha

Ready for the most annoying ride, but when you need to cool off you have to do it!  I think Mattie sang It's a Small World for the rest of the day!

After a long and full day at the park we enjoyed a quick bite to eat with the family and then it was back to the park to catch the light parade.

Day 2:  Our next stop California Adventures.  Such a fun day!  We started our day with breakfast with the characters.  It was so awesome.  Mattie had so much fun and she was so excited to meet some characters.

After breakfast it was off to California Adventures.  We were super pumped because Adam's Uncle Mark and Aunt Lisa were in town from Chicago.  We were so excited to get to spend the day with them.  

I'm pretty sure CC and Uncle Mark were having as much fun as the kids on the bumper cars.

After the parade we were able to hit one more ride, called Soaring Over California.  It was pretty amazing and we were all able to ride it together which was fun.

After a fun day at the park we headed back to the hotel for a few and then Me, Adam, Cheryl and Mattie headed back to the park to catch the World of Color show.  

Light Up Stick…Check.  Now we are ready for the show!

Day 3 it was off to L.A.  We took a drive on Mulholland, went to the Chinese Theatre, and of course my favorite…Rodeo Drive!!!

Everyone loves a good Hollywood Blvd. selfie!

As we were leaving Rodeo Dr. we totally got in the elevator with Mary Gross (SNL and Troop Beverly Hills).  She was chatting with us, but mostly talking to Mattie.  I kept thinking that she was famous and her voice was so distinct, but I couldn't place her.  As we all got out of the elevator Cheryl and I looked at each other and were like "we know her, she is famous".  Too embarrassed to ask because we couldn't think of her name or what she played in, we left.  For like 30 minutes in the car we were killing ourselves trying to think of her name. It was driving us crazy!  I even texted my sister because she is the queen of knowing obscure actor's names.  Cheryl finally remembered who she was and we were like Ahhhhh we should have ask to take a picture with her!!!  She was our one celebrity sighting, and we totally let her get away without getting a picture!  If you are asking yourself, who the heck is Mary Gross here  you go. :)

After a fun few days in L.A. it was time to head home :( A couple of more stops on the way out.  Stop 1 : Downtown Disney.  Stop 2: Venice Beach.  Then it was back to San Francisco.

Adios Disney, you have been a blast!

Fun family vacation!!!!  We all had a blast.  Great memories made and Mattie had the time of her life at Disneyland.  Watching your kid have an amazing time is the best thing ever!!!!
