Hi All,
I wanted to post a little "catch up" on what we have been up to lately. Nothing too crazy, Adam has been busy with work and Mattie and I have been keeping busy with various activities. Day to day Mattie and I stay pretty busy between school and play group activities.
Mattie is doing great in school. Her teacher says that she is super helpful to the other students in her class, and is doing awesome at letting them attempt to do it first before she tries to help. Ms. Kristen also said that Mattie has really found her voice in the classroom. She loves to sing loudly and is the first one to raise her hand during circle time. Music to this momma's ears! Mattie tends to be shy in group settings especially if it is people she is not familiar with or even if she hasn't seen you in a while. I love to hear that she is so comfortable in class interacting with her teachers and peers.
Two weeks ago we went on a little family hike at the Sunol Regional Wilderness. It was only about 20 minutes from the house and so much fun! We did a lot of hiking and even did some climbing on some pretty big rocks along the creek. Mattie was really into it. We had her climbing all over the place, and she had a blast. She also had her first experience peeing in the great out doors, I would say that makes for a pretty awesome day!

This past weekend we took Mattie to Disney On Ice in Oakland. She had so much fun. Adam and I were trying to talk to her during the show asking her if she liked it and if she thought it was cool. She was getting so annoyed with us, it was obvious that she just wanted us to be quiet so she could focus on the show.
After our Disney On Ice fun we took Bart on into Oakland to an awesome sausage place near Adam's Oakland office.

Since we were in Oakland Adam wanted to check out Jack London Square, it was only about a ten minute walk from where we were eating. Plus we needed to walk off those awesome sausages!!!

On Monday Mattie and I did a Fire Station tour with our playgroup. The big engine was out on a call. Insert sad face here. It was still cool, but we were pretty sure Jungle Matt would have done a better job showing us around a fire house. :) Later that afternoon we hit up the library for story time to celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday!
