Egg Hunt
Mattie and I had a very busy and fun Monday! We attended a playgroup egg hunt with some of the girls in her gymnastics class. She was so excited! It was so much fun watching her run around and interact with a large group of children. She has not really had that since we moved out here. It was a great opportunity for us to meet some more moms/kids. We had such a great time!
Awesome day here in California. We had lots of fun today getting to play with our gymnastics friends and making some new friends at the same time. I had many proud mommy moments. Watching her being sweet and taking turns with the other children, seeing how independent she is, totally jumping out there and making new friends. I have to say that what I am most proud of is what good manners she has; she says please and thank you and rarely has to be reminded! Love it!!! Always so proud of my sweet girl. Only one problem…she is growing way to fast and she needs to slow it down a bit!!!
XOXO

If Grampa and CC Come to San Francisco...
They will surely want to see the pier. Showing them the pier will remind them of water and they will want you to take them to the Golden Gate Bridge. I could go on forever. One of Mattie's favorite books is "If You Give a Pig a Pancake".
Adam's parents came in town for a visit. Mattie was so excited to see CC and Grampa, and we were pretty excited too. Of course, we did a ton of site seeing with them since this was CC's first time in San Francisco. Mattie was an awesome tour guide :) WARNING this could be the longest blog post ever!!
They arrived late Friday night (after a broken plane they got into San Francisco about 5 hours later than originally scheduled). I am pretty sure that Delta will be getting a strongly worded email from a certain Grampa who did not get here Friday before Mattie went to bed ;)
After a little bit of a rough start to the trip we were all up on Saturday ready to conquer down town San Fran. First stop, the Saturday morning Farmers Market at the Ferry Building. This has quickly become one of mine and Adam's favorite things to do.
After we enjoyed some yummy eats at the market we walked around the piers to the Embarcadero and had chowder at #9 (Adam's dad's favorite).
We also toured one of the old ships the Balclutha. Really cool and Mattie loved climbing all over the place and checking everything out.
Tuesday we spent a foggy day in Carmel. The fog did not stop Mattie from getting drenched in the ocean and it did not stop any of us from having a great time.
Wednesday CC and I enjoyed some shopping while Mattie stayed with Grampa. Thursday CC and Grampa got to see Mattie's gymnastic's class and then they enjoyed a nice afternoon in Livermore at a winery.
Friday was our last day with CC and Grampa :( Their flight out was not until midnight so we were still able to squeak in one last sight seeing adventure. We spent the part of the day at Mount Diablo, and then home to spend some time with Adam before they left.
Great visit from Grampa and CC! It was so fun having them here and Mattie enjoyed getting to spend time with them. Looking forward to getting another visitor on the schedule :)

| Ringing the ship's bell. After a super busy Saturday, we had a low key Sunday and enjoyed taking Mattie to the park. Adam and I were also able to squeak in a date night thanks to Grampa and CC babysitting :) We had an awesome dinner at Town Hall. It so nice to be in San Francisco together at night. We had such a nice dinner and walked around by the piers afterwards. It was a great date night! |
Adam took Monday and Tuesday off, so that he could have fun with everyone. Monday we checked Muir Woods and The Golden Gate Bridge off of CC and Grampa's list.
